The bustle petticoat

Well as it turns out I am too short for this pattern😂

Going to remove the lowest ruffle and move it up or just attatch a part of it to the front depending on how high I need to move it.

I might hit the ruffel above it so instead of dubbeling up at that point I could just ad it to the front.

Wish I could take a better picture but unfortunatly the roof of my hobby room has been leaking and they are going to fix it at the 17th.

Thanks Covid.

After they have fixed the roof the room will get a make over.

So it will take some time with more pictures like this unfortunatly.

Unless I take the pictures downstairs and then there will be pictures fotobommed by my cats.

My Worth gown

Like a lot of costumers I have a Worth gown that I want to recreate.

And I have already started work on it.

Since I am making this from the bottom up I am working on the undergarmends first.

I have finished making the chemise, corset, bustle crinoline and am now working on the petticoat.

After this I have only the corset cover left before I can start on the actual Worth gown.

Recreating a victorian ballgown with beetle wing embroidery

I have been looking at this dress for some time now and I figured out that I should just try and make it my self.

So I have selected a Laughing Moon pattern for the dress base.

I will be using white taffeta silk and cotton voile for this dress.

The beetle wings are on their way and I made sure that the wings are only collected after the beetles die a natural death.

Can't wait to get started.
